History
Tori Allen was born july 30th, 1988.
Tori grew up in Savalou, Benin.
Savalou is a small city in West Africa with a population of just over 35000 people.
For the five years Tori spend growing up in Savalou she had many animals and experiences that she never would have had if she had been living in the US.
Her pet monkey was named Georgie, she also had a number of other animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, a hedgehog and cameleons.
She talks of how her time living there, was instrumental in shaping her into the person she is today.
By the time Tori was 11 she had set a national outdoor climbing record, and by 12 years of age, she had become a professional rock climber.

What can we learn from Tori Allen?
Tori can teach us many things, she teaches kids how they don’t need to get high on drugs and/or alcohol, they get high on sports.
She shows all of us that there are no limits to human potential, she followed around her pet monkey as a child, without knowing it was meant to be impossible for humans to climb like that. And now she is proving that it is possible.
Genetic or Learned Super Power?
Although genetics do in someways favor Tori with her above average arm span, this is definitely something she has learned to do from playing with her pet monkey as a kid, then honing and perfecting her craft through all the climbing events and training over the years.
