Edgar Cayce - The soul, then, must return-will return-to its Maker. It is a portion of the Creative Force, which is energized into activity even in materiality, in the flesh..
Born
Edgar Cayce was born on March 18, 1877
History
Born to Leslie and Carrie Cayce, Edgar began his life journey near Beverly, Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He had five brothers and sisters.
He was married to Gertrude Evans on June 17, 1903 and they had three children.
Edgar Cayce’s Super Powers
Edgar Cayce is often referred to as “The Sleeping Prophet”.
He would enter a sleeping state, after being given questions from a seeker normally regarding personal or health problems.
While in the sleep like trance he would give a reading. The readings were initially not recorded or preserved until September 1923.
Cayce would be unable to remember what he said during the trance, he explained it as the unconscious mind having access to information that the conscious mind did not.
After September 10, 1923 all of his readings were recorded by his secretary, Gladys Davis.
Cayce always said that his readings should be interpreted only to better the life of the recipient, he asked his subjects to test his advice, rather than blindly accept them.
There are other abilities attributed to Edgar, including mediumship, viewing of the Akashic Records, Aura visibility and astral projection.

What is Edgar Cayce currently doing?
Unfortunately Edgar passed away in 1945, however before his death he founded the non-profit Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in 1931.
The association explores holistic health, intuition, psychic development and related spiritual activities.
What can we learn from Edgar?
If Edgar Cayce is legitimate everything we believe about the world, science and the future is up for a rethink. Here are two quotes from Edgar that are very thought provoking.
“Mind is indeed the Builder . . . what is held in the act of mental vision becomes a reality in the material experience. We are gradually builded to that image created within our own mental being.”
― Edgar Cayce
“The entity should attempt, - seriously, prayerfully, spiritually, - to see even that as might be called the ridiculous side of every question, - the humor in same. Remember that a good laugh, an arousing even to what might in some be called hilariousness, is good for the body, physically, mentally, and gives the opportunity for greater mental and spiritual awakening.”
― Edgar Cayce
Genetic or Learned Super Power?
Edgar discovered his unique abilities by accident when he had a problem with his own voice, and was resigned to a lifetime of raspiness.
It was deemed incurable and it was only when Edgar was put under hypnosis and he went into a trance and actually described what was wrong with his vocal chords and what was best method of treatment for it that it became obvious he had a very special gift.
Here at SapienPlus we don’t know if this is something everyone has the potential for, or he had some kind of genetic abnormality.
Edgar Cayce Predictions
Lifespan - Edgar gives us hope that as humans we will achieve much longer lifespans than we have historically done.
“Now, we find there are many changes in the body since we have had this – many for good. Many of the organs and the conditions show the changes as come about by the natural, or so called natural conditions in changes as the body succumbs to the effects of age or usage in the system. Much of this may be overcome. (Man should live much longer than has been ordinarily given – and will!)” Edgar Cayce reading (244-2) October 18, 1926.
When Edgar was asked about the return of the Lord Jesus he replied..
That as has been promised through the prophets and the sages of old, the time – and half time – has been and is being fulfilled in this day and generation, and that soon there will again appear in the earth that one through whom many will be called to meet those that are preparing the way for His day in the earth. The Lord, then, will come, ‘even as ye have seen him go.’” Edgar Cayce reading (262-49) July 9, 1933
If he was indeed a prophet, then it was by God’s choice. If you don’t believe in God, then think of the term as a placeholder for a concept. One key component of the concept would the simple scientific fact that an object’s position is defined not by an absolute but by a probability. Since space is not separate from time, that probability may then exist in the past and/or the future. Therefore, that which is termed “divine” may very well transcend time, and, by the act of transcending time, possess the ability to inspire prophecies of things to come.
So, if not “God’s” choice, then a gift that is related to the unchanging nature of reality that may give birth to such abilities. One possibility is that because “God” is associated with Love and Truth then if a person makes a heart-felt decision that he/she will never back away from that creates greater alignment with these attributes as viewed by the mechanism of reality that an unchanging and transcending God could be viewed as (or that is viewed as God) then such gifts may be acquired and developed. But since it is easier to lie and selfish than to be honest and selfless, few will ever attain access to this path … or so I believe.
Regardless of one’s religion, one’s science shouldn’t be so narrow-minded to still be bounded by the disproven assumptions of Newtonian physics. But then how many scientists study the philosophy of science in order to identify their own assumptions about reality?
